THE MUSICIANS OF BREMEN

Musical, available from playwright.
Elementary to lower middle school audiences.
Query for royalties and rental rates.
In vignettes and monologues, the Dog, Cat, Donkey, and Rooster tell why
they're homeless. They meet on the road to Bremen and join forces.
Together they discover the nefarious plot of the none-too-able burglers to
steal from the Bremenites, and defeat them. Dog discovers his courage,
Cat finds friends, Donkey finds he's pretty smart, and Rooster gets
healthy. Six minimal set scenes. Running time: 1 hour, 15 minutes.
Cast: 3-6 males, 10 - 14 females (with doubling). Piano score available
for six songs. |

HOW TO JOIN
USA PLAYS FOR KIDS! is a project of the Drury University School of Education and Child Development, supported by the Springfield-Greene County Libraries (MO) and the Library System of Lancaster County (PA). Its goal is to promote literacy and creativity by introducing young readers and audiences, parents, teachers, librarians, and directors to the work of "real, live" playwrights. Please see MISSOURI WRITES FOR KIDS! for a short history of this project.
All playwrights writing for young audiences and currently living in the United States who have at least one professionally published script are invited to join USA PLAYS FOR KIDS! Please submit your webpage URL to us at the address below for consideration. We ask only that you provide a reciprocal link.
